Hello!

My name is Abigail Hayes and I'm from Raleigh, North Carolina born and raised. I am a graphic designer, journalist, photographer, creative, and, most importantly, a music-lover. I founded Creatives Archive in February of 2022.

My Story

I've had a fond appreciation for music as an enjoyer and as a musician. Similarly, I have been an avid writer since the age of 3, when my mom first taught me and my older sisters how to read. From then on, these two passions would shape me into the creative that I am.

Though I've always been writing, I didn't pursue journalistic writing until the Summer of 2020 when I enrolled myself in university-sponsored journalism programs. Through various programs, I was able to get an article published for an official newspaper, a poem published to a collection book, an two awards for my journalistic work.

All of these things were the perfect storm for Creatives Archive to be born. I knew there was lovely music around me all the time, so much so that a platform to share them needed to be made. So, I did it. On a random afternoon in my Grandma's guest room upstairs, I built up Creatives Archive.

Reading between the lyrics is all about appreciating the artist beyond the art. It's about thinking about the heart and passion behind the music before hitting that shuffle button.

Creatives Archive is all about doing just that: capturing the humanity behind the music.
